Description

On October 1st Canada tax laws change drawmaticlly for Vacation Rental Homes. By law, in addition to the GST 5% tax we must collect on behalf of the CRA PST @ 8% and a new Tourism Tax MSRT @ 3%. This adds and additional 11% to the checkout price for a total of 15% taxes. As a family owned and managed home, we recognize the impact these costs have in families planning already expensive vacations. As such we have decided to absorb this increase and we have reduced our nightly rate by exactly 11%; the rate of the two new taxes.

Brio House is our Canadian, Whistler dream. This vacation home is unique in many senses as it is very large and spacious by comparison to similarly priced homes in Whistler, and that the owner and manager lives on sight, and manages snow clearing, grounds work and maintenance at the drop of a hat. Taking immense pride in ensuring your vacation is as comfortable and well organized a s possible.

In the summer of 2018, the living area, main bedrooms, and bathrooms and connecting areas have all being refreshed and redecorated, giving the home a much lighter, more modern appearance. We have purchased new furniture, ranging from reclaimed wooden cabinetry in the bedrooms, to new storage options, and seating, significant pieces of art and a beautiful hand framed mirror. The kitchen has received new cutlery, new crockery, some beautiful wine glasses, and listening to some feedback, mugs. Lots of mugs.

The bedrooms have all received carefully chosen high thread count white cotton hotel grade linens. They feel AMAZING.

We have added Luxury cotton bathrobes await, along with large soft touch bath sheets and towels.

We have truly tried to provide the best experience we can, and we think we’ve hit the proverbial nail on the head. The living room has a New York feel to it, with bright crips whites, greys and browns, framed by the floor to ceiling windows that are patiently waiting for the snowy secenery to arrive.

We have an easy to use grill and open gas fire in the garden, for those evenings when you want to have s’mores with the kids in the garden. We love to dig out a semi igloo to use as a family fire pit, perfect after you’ve finished the snow man.

Our beautiful home is the quintessential west coast whistler residence, with West Coast log architecture, sitting nestled amongst the trees in a quiet family neighbourhood at the foot of Whistler

The main living room is just across from the kitcehen, interspaced with a beautiful marble dining table, and seating for 6. The hardwood floors, and 15 ft vaulted ceilings are all framed with floor to ceiling windows, providing for a light luxurious feel in which to sink into one of the large sofa's and enjoy a movie, or some sports on the 42' HD Smart TV, linked to Telus Optik on demand.

KIDS:

Brio House is a child-safe home and the perfect place for families with children of ALL ages. We are the proud parents of a 3-year-old and 1-year-old boys. We understand and know what it’s like to travel with young kids, and e have tried to include everything we have learned has been useful for us! The highlight of the unit for older kids’ is the small games room. While this room doubles as the fourth bedroom, it works amazingly for kids to have their own TV, XBOX and chill out area. Furnished with toys and dress-up clothes to entertain your children for hours.

Pet Friendly

We are a pet friendly home. All we require from owners is an undertaking that your dog/s is well behaved and will not damage the home, and please don't leave your dog for too long. If they are crate trained, it’s even better for their well being in a new home. We have two dogs of our own, so we love to travel with them.
